Hello Everyone!
I was mountain biking with my girlfriend and she found this partly buried rusted heavy item just a few yards off the dirt road. I hauled it out and dusted it off, took some pix, researched and found out that this is a circa 1957 radiator top (judging by the trademark design). Looks to be unused (just surface rust on the inside, no gasket remnants, scrape marks, broken bolts.
WTH is it doing up on a mountainside in Rancho Cucamonga California? Is it of value?

Great, thanks! Is it worth anything to anyone, because I'll haul it down from up there if it is.

Model cabinet topper, its the bottom tanks that are worth a few $ because they bust up when get frozen.

Does not look like a D2 tank, too big and the relief valve is on the wrong side, maybe for a #12 grader, the 99E looks similar, if you see a casting number on it we can tell.

Thanks Josh! I'll be up there later this week. I did see a casting # on it. I'll take a full series of pix too.
Thanks, ~ RadioWaves ~

I think D6 318 engine. Need to go out and make sure the over flow is in the right place, but the rest of it is right.

Thanks Ray54! I go mountain biking up there at least once a week, so no trouble at all. But it adds to the motivation to go out and ride.
